In cooperation with Shanghai Maritime University, the company has formed an energy saving and emission reduction research team composed of professors, senior chief engineers and other experts as the backbone. Based on the digital pool research platform, the company has designed a pre-rotating propeller guide hood device for the wake of the ship tail.

    The calculation shows that the device can improve the wake of the ship tail and save 6 ~ 8% of the energy under the design speed and loading condition.

    This technology has obtained the utility model patent issued by the State Patent Office (patent number: ZL 202121437398.7) and has been recognized by the Italian Classification Society and China Classification Society in principle (obtained RINA and CCS AIP certificate).

    Research process

    Based on the fundamental theory of hydrodynamics, a comprehensive analysis of the flow field, streamline, and wake field at the stern of a ship is conducted to design a hydrodynamic energy-saving device consisting of a propeller pre swirl guide cover and a hub cap fin

    The diffuser consists of a semi-circular acceleration type diffuser and 5 equally spaced blades, with the diffuser and blade profile being wing shaped.
