Recently, Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Technology Center organized a three-dimensional model review of the cargo hold, engine room, stern, chimney and other areas of the 152000 ton shuttle oil tanker project by representatives from the shipowner, project construction team, and technical personnel.

The first 152000 ton shuttle oil tanker
This project is the third 152000 deadweight ton shuttle oil tanker built by Zhoushan Zhongyuan Shipping Heavy Industry for KNUTSEN Company in Norway. It has a design total length of 278.8 meters, a width of 47 meters, a depth of 24.9 meters, a structural draft of 17.3 meters, a design speed of 14.5 knots, and is classified by DNV-GL classification society. The project meets DP2 positioning capability, is equipped with a bow loading system, and the structure meets 25 years of fatigue strength requirements.

The second 152000 ton shuttle oil tanker
The 152000 ton shuttle oil tanker strictly follows the construction requirements of the "Learn Kawasaki" new shipbuilding project. From the effective date of the project, the technical center has conducted thorough discussions, using the comprehensive reservation table as a line, starting from the decomposition of technical specifications, discussions on production design conventions, pre review opinions on detailed design drawings, tracking and implementation of shipowner and ship inspection opinions, internal and work area disclosure of detailed design drawings, model inspection and review, etc., to fully implement Kawasaki's relevant requirements and further improve the design quality. Compared to the previously delivered ships of the same series, the design concept of this project has been comprehensively upgraded, including an increase in the main scale of the ship, an increase in the power of the main engine, an increase in the number of generators, and an improvement in the propeller configuration.
