Jiangdong Shipyard delivers the second 500 container ship for the Han Asia shipping route

On the afternoon of November 22nd, Changhang Group Wuhu Jiangdong Shipyard and Wuhan Xingang Datong International Shipping Co., Ltd. held a delivery ceremony for the 500 container ship "Huahang Hanya 2" on the Hanya route. This marks the completion of two container demonstration ships that Wuhan has assisted in building direct routes to Japan.

The "Huahang Hanya 2" vessel has a total length of 125 meters, a width of 20.8 meters, a depth of 10.2 meters, a draft of 6.2 meters, a carrying capacity of 7900 tons, a maximum carrying capacity of 9500 tons, a container capacity of 560 TEU, and a design speed of 13.7 knots. It is a dual engine twin propeller tail aircraft model with advanced ship design, energy saving and environmental protection. It can navigate in unlimited navigation areas, inland A and B level navigation areas, and meets international conventions and relevant domestic requirements.

It is reported that the cargo hold of the "China Airlines Hanya 2" ship can accommodate 290 TEUs, and the deck can accommodate 260 TEUs. In addition to regular cargo containers, the ship can also carry a certain number of refrigerated containers and various packaged dangerous goods containers except for flammable and toxic gases.

On June 12th of this year, the first 500 container ship "China Airlines Hanya No.1" was successfully launched. On September 29th, the "China Airlines Hanya No.1" was handed over to Wuhan Xingang Datong International Shipping Co., Ltd.

On August 8th of this year, the second 500 container ship "China Airlines Hanya 2" was successfully launched. On November 5th, the "China Airlines Hanya 1" successfully completed its sea trial.

After the delivery of the "China Airlines Hanya 2", relevant certificates and licenses will be processed as soon as possible, and it will dock at the anchorage near Wuhan Port in December for standby. Starting from next year, both "China Airlines Hanya 2" and "China Airlines Hanya 1" will be launched simultaneously, achieving normalized operation of weekly flights.

It is reported that the opening of this shipping route will be the first direct route within the Yangtze River (above Nanjing) and the first international waterway flight in Wuhan, filling the gap in the national inland river basin.
